Skill prerequisites
This class is for the adventurous beginner. Crocheters should be familiar with the basic stitches – chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet
Materials
Please bring the following with you to class:
-
400 m (450 yd) fingering (sock) weight yarn. Project sample uses a long colour run (such as Noro, Zauberball, Sock-it-To-Me).
- crochet hook appropriate for yarn weight (because gauge is personal, suggested size is between 3.0 – 4.0 mm)
- scissors
- darning needle
- pen/pencil & paper
-
removable stitch markers (note: you will need to slip this into the stitches so safety pin types are best)
Homework
There is no homework required to prepare for the first class. A moderate amount of homework will be assigned after the first class so that the cowl can be finished by the end of the second class.
